联合国可持续发展目标6明确指出,获得水、环境卫生和个人卫生是人类的一项基本权利。针对斯里兰卡不明原因慢性肾病追因和饮用水安全保障的重大民生需求,“中国-斯里兰卡水技术研究与示范联合中心”项目致力于两国在水、环境与卫生领域的全方位长期合作,为斯里兰卡饮用水安全保障提供了坚实的科技支撑和人员保障。
该项目是2015年中国科学院在斯里兰卡设立的境外机构建设项目,位于佩拉德尼亚大学,于2021年10月投入使用。该项目为斯培训水务与医卫专业人员66名,研究生(含博士生)43名,在当地示范的地下水源饮用水技术与装置、雨水利用装置共为4000余名村民和1300名小学生提供了优质饮用水。
我们认为,只有践行多边主义,以民生优先开展合作,才能真正地惠及民生。我们愿同各方建立并加强联系,形成合力,组建高水平、多学科、跨机构的人才队伍,为进一步打造公平、和谐、绿色的世界做出贡献。

The UN SDG 6 states that access to water, sanitation and hygiene is a basic human right. Aiming to tackle the chronic kidney disease with unknown etiology (CKDu) and provide safe drinking water, "China Sri Lanka Joint Research and Demonstration Center for Water Technology" project established by the CAS in 2015 is committed to all-round, long-term cooperation of water, environment and health between two countries, providing solid scientific & technological support and capacity building for water security in Sri Lanka.
The project has already trained 66 Sri Lankan water & medical professionals, 43 graduate students, provided high-quality drinking water for over 5300 villagers and primary school students.
We believe that only by practicing multilateralism and giving priority to cooperation on livelihood can truly benefit people's livelihood. We are willing to establish and strengthen contacts with all parties, form a joint force, build a high-level, multidisciplinary and inter institutional talent team, make contributions to further building a fair, harmonious and green world.
